Man sustains severe burns in Whalley residential fire

AT approximately 6:45 p.m. on April 16, Surrey RCMP responded to a call from Surrey Fire to assist in traffic control for a residential structure fire in the 13500-block of 113 Avenue in Surrey. The traffic in the area was diverted as the Surrey RCMP General Investigation Unit and Surrey Fire investigators determine the cause.

One male in his 60’s sustained severe burns and is currently in critical condition. He is being treated at a local area hospital. The cause of the fire is currently unknown. The local area traffic on 113 Avenue has been opened up.
