A man who secretly videotaped women showering, using the washroom and engaging in sex acts with him has been sentenced to two years, seven months in prison.
Glen Berry, 49, was convicted in October of sexual assault, assault and voyeurism. He was sentenced Tuesday in B.C. Supreme Court in New Westminster.
Berry was arrested in September 2010 after a former girlfriend reported that Berry had assaulted her.
During the investigation, a number of recordings were found on his computer and video camera.
The videos included footage of his former girlfriend. In three videos she was showering.
Others showed Berry engaged in sexual activity with the girlfriend in their bed — the woman did not know she was being recorded and some of the sex acts took place while she was asleep, leading to the sexual assault charge.
There were also videos of a different young woman using the toilet at a family birthday party in the bathroom of a relative’s home.
The incidents took place in Maple Ridge and Mission.
Berry will next appear in court on Feb. 12 for a one-day trial related to allegations that he breached his bail conditions.
