Maple Ridge celebrates Canada Day with festivities

THE community is invited to celebrate Canada Day in Maple Ridge with live music, food, dance performances, a kids zone and family activities to celebrate the nation’s birthday. This year’s event incorporates Maple Ridge’s 150 anniversary since its incorporation and Katzie First Nation and Kwantlen First Nation since time immemorial.

The event takes place in Memorial Peace Park from noon to 6 p.m. on July 1, showcasing Maple Ridge’s community spirit and diversity. This year’s free celebrations will feature various activities, including four entertainment stages, a 224 Street Party, a Climbing Wall, a Kids Zone, food trucks, and more. Aché Brasil is the lead act, combining acrobatics, martial arts, Afro-Brazilian dance, and hypnotic rhythms to create a sizzling performance.

Come join us and enjoy the festivities marking our nation’s birthday.”
