Metro Vancouver: Air quality warning ends

METRO Vancouver Regional District announced just before 5 p.m. on Monday that it has ended the ground-level ozone and fine particulate matter Air Quality Warning that had been in effect since Sunday, August 24.

Air quality has improved due to a change in weather and more favourable winds.

Air Quality Warning has ended for:

  • Metro Vancouver – Northeast
  • Metro Vancouver – Southeast
  • Central Fraser Valley
  • Eastern Fraser Valley

Metro Vancouver works in cooperation with Environment and Climate Change Canada, Fraser Valley Regional District, and BC Ministry of Environment and Parks to look after air quality.
