PREMIER John Horgan on Tuesday announced the appointment of Rick Glumac, MLA for Port Moody-Coquitlam, as Premier’s Liaison for the State of Washington.
Horgan said in a statement: “Following his successful leadership role in the Pacific NorthWest Economic Region, Glumac is tasked with ensuring our government remains engaged on important cross-border issues, like the Cascadia Innovation Corridor and the prospect of high-speed rail between our jurisdictions.
“As we move into the next phase of this pandemic with the arrival of vaccines, we are able to start reviewing measures we can take to restore cross-border traffic and trade when conditions permit.
“He will make efforts to encourage co-operation within the Cascadia jurisdictions to move toward ending annual daylight time changes as the opportunity arises.”
