INDIAN Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated Justin Trudeau on Tuesday on his party’s victory in the federal election on Monday.

Modi tweeted: “Congratulations @JustinTrudeau!
“India and Canada are connected by shared values and a strong commitment to democracy as well as plurality.
“Looking forward to working together to further strengthen bilateral relations.”

He also posted a photo of him with Trudeau at the G20 in Germany in 2017 and another with his family when they visited India in 2018.
