Motorcyclist dead after colliding with light standard in Abbotsford

ABBOTSFORD Police patrol officers on responded to a serious collision on Saturday at 3:31 p.m. at the intersection of Golden Avenue and Trethewey Street.
Emergency service workers located a motor vehicle collision involving a motorcycle which had collided with a light standard. Tragically, the operator of the motorcycle succumbed to his injuries.
Patrol officers, with the assistance of the Integrated Collision Analysis Reconstruction Service (ICARS), remain at the scene and are in the early stages of this investigation. Road closures are currently in effect and an update will be provided via social media once the roads reopen, police said.
