ON November 11, just before 5 p.m., Surrey RCMP were called to the 10700-block of 124th Street after a report of a disturbance was received. Police found an adult victim suffering from critical injuries. Despite all attempts to revive the victim, he succumbed to his injuries.
Police say that initial investigations shows that this does not appear to be a random act nor is it connected to the current Lower Mainland Gang Conflict.
The area surrounding the scene will be cordoned off for a significant amount of time. The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) has been called in and will be working in partnership with the Surrey RCMP.
Police are currently in the evidence gathering phase.
IHIT tweeted on Tuesday that “a man in his 30s was found with critical injuries inside a house … Suspect was last seen north on 124 ST wearing a dark hoodie, dark sweat pants, and may be injured.”
Anyone with information regarding this investigation can call the IHIT information line at 1-877-551-IHIT (4448) or email at ihitinfo@rcmp-grc.gc.ca.  Should you wish to remain anonymous, contact CrimeStoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
