HAMILTON police say they recently entered into an investigation after two young persons reported an incident of sexual assault. The assault occurred at a gathering in a place of worship, located on the Hamilton Mountain. The suspect was one of the attendees at this location and sexually assaulted the young persons.
On May 11, 71-year-old Ashok Dua of Hamilton was arrested and charged with:
- Sexual assault (two counts)
- Sexual interference (two counts)
- Fail to comply with a release order (two counts)
- Breach of a conditional sentence order
Dua’s release was opposed by police, and he remains in custody.
Hamilton Police believe that there may be more victims and encourage anyone with information to contact investigators.
