ONTARIO: Gurkamal Deol and Naveen Deol charged after two loaded handguns, ammunition seized from residence

ONTARIO’S Peel Regional Police have seized two loaded firearms and a quantity of ammunition, and laid multiple firearm charges against two people from Brampton.

On Saturday, November 5, police responded to a 9-1-1 call regarding possible shots fired in the area of Russell Creek Drive and Inspire Boulevard in Brampton.

The investigation led to a search warrant being conducted at a residence that resulted in the seizure of two loaded handguns, along with a quantity of ammunition, police said.

* Gurkamal Deol, a 34-year-old man, and Naveen Deol, a 31-year-old female, both from Brampton, were each charged with:

– Possession of a loaded prohibited or restricted firearm (two counts)
– Knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm (two counts)
– Careless storage of a firearm (two counts)
– Careless use of firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition
Both were held for a bail hearing and attended the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.
