ONTARIO: Jagtar Singh, 30, arrested in Brampton gas station robbery

ONTARIO’S Peel Regional Police investigators from the Central Robbery Bureau identified two suspects in relation to a gas station robbery in Brampton last Friday, arresting one and issuing a warrant for the other.

On Friday, January 17, it is alleged that two male suspects robbed a gas station in the area of Hurontario Street and Bovaird Drive West in Brampton. During this incident, the suspects displayed an imitation firearm, made a demand for cash, and managed to flee the area with a quantity of money. The victim did not suffer any physical injuries.

Due to a quick police response, Jagtar Singh a 30-year-old male from Brampton, was arrested a short distance away and charged with the following offences:

  • Robbery
  • Wear Disguise With Intent
  •  Use Imitation Firearm

Jagtar Singh was held for a bail hearing and appeared before the Ontario Court of Justice.

Further investigation identified the second suspect as Taranjot Singh, a 30-year-old male of no fixed address.  A warrant has been issued for his arrest for the following charges:

  • Robbery
  • Wear Disguise With Intent
  •  Use Imitation Firearm
