ONTARIO: Mandeep Singh, 36, of Mississauga arrested in fatal collision investigation

ONTARIO’S Peel Regional Police investigators from the Major Collision Bureau (MCB) have arrested and charged Mandeep Singh, a 36-year-old man from Mississauga,  as a result of a fatal collision investigation.

On Friday, July 12 at approximately 8:14 p.m., Peel Regional Police attended the area of McLaughlin Road and Horwood Drive in Brampton for reports of a violent collision. Investigation revealed that a collision occurred between two vehicles at this location and following the collision, one vehicle spun, mounting a sidewalk, striking and killing the victim who was walking in the area. The deceased victim was a 15-year-old resident from Brampton.

MCB investigators arrested Mandeep Singh the same day. He was charged with the following criminal offences:

  • Failure or refusal to comply with demand – accident resulting in death (alcohol)
  • Dangerous operation causing death
  • Operation while impaired causing death

He will appear before the Ontario Court of Justice for his special bail hearing on Friday, July 26.
