ONTARIO: Mizanur Rahman of Milton arrested for sexual assaults on GO train

THE Special Victims Unit and Metrolinx Investigators have been working on a joint investigation which has resulted in a man being arrested and charged in relation to five separate sexual assaults.

The following incidents took place while the victims were travelling on the GO train between Union station and Milton station:

  • A 41-year-old woman who resides in Milton was assaulted on June 17, 2018.
  • A 28-year-old woman who resides in Mississauga was assaulted on August 1, 2018.
  • A 36-year-old woman who resides in Mississauga was assaulted in October 2018.
  • A 23-year-old woman who resides in Mississauga was assaulted on November 21, 2018.
  • A 20-year-old woman who resides in Mississauga was assaulted on February 14, 2019.

All five victims did not suffer any injury or require any medical assistance.

On Monday (April 1), Mizanur Rahman, a 43-year-old man from the City of Milton, was arrested and charged with five counts of sexual assault.  Rahman was released on a promise to appear and will attend the Ontario Court of Justice in the City of Brampton on Monday, May 6.
