ONTARIO: Piratheepan Nagarajah wanted in intimate partner violence investigation

ONTARIO’S Peel Regional Police officers from the Intimate Partner Violence Unit are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a wanted person in connection with an ongoing intimate partner violence investigation.

Piratheepan Nagarajah, a 36-year-old man from Toronto, is currently wanted for allegedly committing the following offences:

  • Attempt murder (two counts)
  • Discharge firearm
  • Unauthorized possession of a firearm
  • Knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm
  • Possession of a loaded prohibited or restricted firearm
  • Possession of a firearm

Police are encouraging the wanted party to consult with their lawyer and surrender to police at their local police station as soon as possible. They also encourage anyone who may have had contact with Piratheepan Nagarajah, or who may have information on his whereabouts, to come forward.

The wanted person is considered armed and dangerous. Members of the public are advised not to approach him. If seen, call 9-1-1 immediately.
