ONTARIO’S Peel Regional Police investigators from the Special Victims Unit have arrested an individual in relation to a violent sexual assault investigation in Mississauga.
On Tuesday, May 6, the victim attended the accused’s residence to provide cleaning services in which she was contacted for through an online platform. Once inside, it is alleged that the victim was sexually assaulted and threatened.
On Wednesday, May 7, Ravinder Dhaliwal, a 27-year-old man from Mississauga, was arrested and charged for the following criminal offences:
• Assault
• Sexual assault
• Sexual assault – strangle
• Forcible confinement
• Utter threat to cause death or bodily harm
Dhaliwal was held for bail hearing and appeared at Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.
