TRANSLINK announced on Sunday evening that the construction work  that had been planned for the Victoria Day long weekend as part of the Pattullo Bridge Replacement Projecton has finished earlier than scheduled and the Pattullo Bridge has now reopened to traffic.

The construction work was required to safely install drainage and complete foundations for the approaches to the new replacement bridge in New Westminster and Surrey. Bridge lanes were also taken up by equipment to complete the work.

The closure was to affect all vehicle traffic from Friday, May 16 at 9 p.m. until Tuesday, May 20 at 5 a.m.
