Diwali, the Festival of Lights, is celebrated the world over with the lighting of traditional diyas (earthen lamps) and fireworks. In Canada too, thousands of South Asians will be celebrating the ‘victory of good’ with new clothes, traditional foods, family gatherings and lots of shopping. This year, Pepsi will be bringing even more brightness to the festivities, as it joins in the celebrations with them.
As Diwali lights up the land, Pepsi will be celebrating the festival with a two-day Diwali fun fiesta on November 1st and 2nd, 2013, at a favourite gathering place of the South Asian community – the Bramalea City Centre in Brampton.
Diwali celebrates prosperity, and revellers who visit the Diwali-decorated Pepsi booth can take part in the fun to win prizes, which include Diwali diyas, price-off coupons or a refreshing Pepsi. The Pepsi booth is conveniently located beside the food court, on the upper level of the Bramalea City Centre.
Celebrating can work up a thirst, and nothing refreshes like a Pepsi. Pepsi has an entertaining and refreshing way to quench thirst with the iconic Pepsi Taste Challenge being conducted at the Pepsi Diwali booth. The Pepsi Taste Challenge invites consumers to decide for themselves what their favourite tasting cola is, and now Diwali celebrants can weigh in by choosing their cola preference.
As Pepsi spreads the light of fun and happiness this Diwali, take your friends and family to visit the Pepsi booth at Bramalea City Centre, food court, on November 1-2, 2013. This is part of the brand’s endeavour to strengthen its equity and significance with Canada’s ever-growing South Asian community. For the first time, Pepsi will be launching its brand campaign theme of “Live for Now” in its South Asian avatar “Oh Yes Abhi”. This will be seen across print advertising in South Asian publications and relevant Out Of Home media.
