IN only four years, the cricket programming by Inclusive Canada Foundation (ICF) has generated more than 1,700 registrations in British Columbia, while expanding from adult recreational cricket into youth and U17 programming, university and college cricket, newcomer and refugee initiatives, and Last Woman Stands programming for women and girls.

Its developing women’s program now includes approximately 30–35 women and girls, with roughly half under 17, while its Youth, University and College League is also continuing toward its September championship activities.

Last Man Stands and Last Woman Stands are flagship sport initiatives of Inclusive Canada Foundation, whose broader work focuses on building inclusive communities through sport, education, health and culture. Dr. Emrul Hasan, President of Inclusive Canada Foundation, is also a faculty member at the University of British Columbia (UBC). 

On Monday, August 24,  Inclusive Canada Foundation held the LMS BC Blasters Finals & Grand Award Ceremony, at Newton Athletic Park in Surrey. There were a host of dignitaries present. They included Surrey MLAs Garry Begg, Amna Shah and Elenore Sturko.
