PORT Moody Police have released an image of a break-and-enter suspect in an attempt to identify him.
On Wednesday, April 10, staff from a business in the Moody Centre area of the city contacted police after discovering a break-and-enter to their restaurant overnight. Through reviewing CCTV footage, it was learned the suspect entered the business twice overnight – once on April 9 at around 11 p.m. and again on April 10 at around 6:30 a.m., making off with multiple electronic devices.
The suspect is described as a white man with long dark hair tied in a bun, wearing glasses and a puffy jacket. He also had a backpack on him.
This break-and-enter is one of six in the Moody Centre area in the past month. Of note, these incidents include break-ins to other businesses, parkade storage units and a construction site.
“Our frontline officers are increasing patrols in the area and we are asking the public to report any suspicious activity to us right away,” says Constable Sam Zacharias.
