BEGINNING October 12, the Surrey RCMP will be hosting multiple “Coffee with Cops” events around the city for residents and business owners. Coffee with Cops provides the public with an opportunity to meet police officers who work in their area and discuss neighbourhood concerns in an informal and neutral space. The events (and coffee) are free and open to all area residents and business owners. Join Staff-Sgt. Wendy Mehat, Acting Community Support and Safety Officer, who will be hosting the events with her teams, for coffee and conversation at the following locations (no registration required):
* City Centre / Whalley: October 12 – 10-11 a.m. at Café Nelly, 13401 108th Avenue
* Cloverdale / Port Kells: October 13 – 10-11 a.m. at Rustic Rooster, 5723 176th Street
* Guildford / Fleetwood: October 17 – 10-11 a.m. at Cuatro Coffee, 202 – 9014 152nd Street
* South Surrey: October 18 – 10-11 a.m. at Moka House Coffee & Bistro, 40 – 16041 24th Avenue
* Newton: October 19 – 10-11 a.m. at Espresso Café, 1112 – 7330 137 Street
