THE City of Surrey on Wednesday announced details for the August and September online tree sale events offering residents the opportunity to purchase quality trees, at an affordable price, to enhance the City’s tree canopy coverage.

Purchases will be made online and then picked up at a later date from the Surrey Operations Centre at 6651 148 Street. Sales are available to Surrey residents only.

“Trees are vital to a healthy and thriving community,” said Surrey Mayor Doug McCallum. “All the trees within the city, including the trees on public and private land, are part of our urban forest. Trees improve air and water quality, provide important wildlife habitat, prevent soil erosion, and reduce the impacts of stormwater flooding. The City’s tree sale is a great way to add a new tree at your home and support the growth of Surrey’s urban forest.”

The City of Surrey hosts four online tree sale events throughout the year. The next tree sale opens August 24 at 9 a.m. and closes on September 7 (while supplies last), with a tree pickup date of September 18.

The final tree sale of 2022 opens September 28 at 9 a.m. and closes October 12 with a pickup date of October 23.

Each tree sale has up to 1,000 trees available for purchase which includes a selection of fruit trees and deciduous trees. Inventory is limited and available on a first come, first served basis.

Sales are limited to Surrey residents, with a maximum of three trees per Surrey billing address. All trees are $20 (includes tax).
