Residents invited to discuss Delta’s Tsawwassen Town Centre Mall Site proposal

THE City of Delta has planned several opportunities for residents to learn more about the application to redevelop the Tsawwassen Town Centre Mall Site. The proposal includes four mixed-use residential towers up to 24 storeys in height as well as several mid-rise buildings up to six storeys in height.

The application is consistent with the Official Community Plan and a public hearing is not permitted under provincial legislation. All households in Tsawwassen will receive a mailout this week with more information on the proposal and an invitation to participate in the City’s engagement program to share their feedback.

The engagement program will begin on February 4 and will run until March 16. There are three opportunities for residents to speak with staff and the applicant about the proposal. Comments will be collected through a feedback form available online at letstalk.delta.ca/ttc or at the in-person Public Information Meetings. Dates for the Information Meetings include:

Feedback gathered through the engagement program will be compiled in a report that will be shared with the public and the applicant as well as presented to Council at a Regular Meeting. The applicant will have the opportunity to refine the proposal based on the feedback received before it is considered by Council for a decision.
