RICHMOND RCMP are celebrating the overwhelming generosity of the community after the 11th Annual Toy Drive broke previous records, raising $33,307.95 and collecting approximately 1,500 lbs of toys for the Richmond Christmas Fund.

Richmond RCMP extended heartfelt thanks to the residents, businesses, and sponsors who made this year’s Toy Drive an incredible success. The event, held on Saturday, November 22 at Lansdowne Centre, brought together families, volunteers, and community partners for a day of festive fun and giving.

The Toy Drive supports the Richmond Christmas Fund, a program of Richmond Cares, Richmond Gives, which provides toys and holiday assistance to local families in need. This year’s event featured ball hockey games, photos with Santa, RCMP officers in Red Serge, and community booths, creating a memorable experience for all.

Total donations: $33,307.95 (a new record!)

Toys collected: 1,260 lbs at the event, plus additional donations from Lansdowne Centre and donation boxes placed at Community Policing Offices and libraries, totalling approximately 1,500 lbs.

“Year after year, this event reflects the spirit of Richmond,” said Superintendent Julie Drotar, Richmond RCMP Senior Operations Officer. “The success of this year’s Toy Drive shows what can happen when a community comes together. Every donation helps ensure families have the support they need during the holidays, and we are deeply grateful to everyone who donated, and to our sponsors who made this possible.”
