TWO men have been arrested and charged with a number of criminal offences following an incident in a City Centre apartment in Surrey on Monday.
Shortly before 11 p.m. on January 20, Surrey Police Service frontline officers responded to a call from a resident in an apartment in the 13400-block of Central Avenue that two men in an apartment were allegedly acting violently and had a gun.
SPS officers arrived and two men were taken into custody without incident. With the assistance of SPS’s Frontline Investigation Support Team and Serious Crime Unit detectives, a search warrant was obtained and executed. Seized in the search was a black BB gun.
The investigation resulted in the two men being charged with several criminal offences by BC Prosecution Service.
Sameer Sameer, a 23-year-old Surrey resident, has been charged with one count of assault, one count of assault with a weapon, and one count of unlawful confinement.
Supreet Singh, a 23-year-old Surrey resident, has been charged with one count of assault, one count of uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm, one count of assault with a weapon, and one count of unlawful confinement.
Both men were remanded in custody and have their first court appearance on the morning of January 22.
