Serious collision in South Surrey leads to road closures

SURREY RCMP are advising the public that the intersection of 24 Avenue and King George Boulevard is being shut down due to a serious collision.

On Tuesday at 4:29 p.m., police responded to a report of a collision involving two vehicles and a pedestrian at the intersection of 24 Avenue and King George Boulevard.

One person has been transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Due to the serious nature of the collision, the intersection of 24 Avenue and King George Boulevard will be shut down with barricades and traffic control personnel in place.

Police request the public to avoid the area.

The investigation is in the early stages and it is unknown how long the road closures will remain in effect.
