Serious collision in Whalley leads to road closures on 102 Avenue and City Parkway

SURREY RCMP are currently investigating a serious collision between a vehicle and a person on a motorized scooter that occurred in Whalley.

At approximately 8:38 a.m. on February 24, Surrey RCMP frontline responded to a collision in the intersection of 102 Avenue and City Parkway. The driver of the vehicle stayed on scene. The victim, an elderly man, suffered a serious but not life-threatening lower body injury and was transported to the hospital.

The Surrey RCMP Critical Collision Investigation Team (CCIT) has taken conduct of the investigation and will be in the area collecting evidence. Road closures are in effect on 102 Avenue and City Parkway and are expected to be in place for several hours.
