SHARNJIT Singh Gill of BC-based VERICO Superior Mortgage Inc. has been nominated as an Excellence Awardee for “Broker of the Year Regional – Western Canada” for the 2026 Canadian Mortgage Awards.
Only two others from Western Canada have been nominated in this category.

Being nominated and winning awards is nothing new for Gill.
With more than half a century of experience to his name, Gill is one of the few who can lay claim to having lived through the titanic changes that the financial industry has gone through.
He has served clients in India; London and Leicestershire, UK; and Surrey and Abbotsford, B.C., for over 57 years.
Since arriving in Canada in 1995, Gill has built a remarkable career grounded in perseverance, trust, and relationship-building. Starting at a bank branch in Surrey, he transitioned to independent brokering in 2001, relying on his ability to connect with clients and guide them through critical financial decisions. Over the years, Gill has earned multiple accolades, including repeated recognition as a top producer and membership in Scotiabank’s President’s Club from 2021 to 2024.
Gill has also been consistently ranked among CMP’s Top 75 Brokers since 2009, further demonstrating his enduring impact and leadership in the Canadian mortgage industry.
