Shooting in Surrey’s Whalley area

SURREY RCMP are currently on scene in the Whalley area of Surrey for a report of shots being fired.

At approximately 9 p.m. on Wednesday (October 18), police responded to a report of shots fired in the 13300-block of 90th Avenue.

The initial investigation has revealed that shots were fired from a light-coloured sedan at someone in a dark-coloured SUV. Both vehicles fled the area eastbound on 90th Avenue. There are no other suspect descriptions available at this time.

Officers are conducting neighbourhood canvassing and speaking with witnesses to obtain further information. The investigation is still in its early stages but initial indications are that this is likely a targeted incident.
