Shot fired in attempted home invasion in Surrey

SURREY R.C.M.P.  received 911 calls on Saturday at about 11 p.m. that a group of males were observed at the front door of a residence located in the 3000-block of Croydon Drive appeared to be attempting to gain entry into the residence.  One witness reported hearing what was believed to be a gunshot.

Surrey R.C.M.P. General Duty members along with members of the L.M.D. Integrated Police Dog Services and the Integrated L.M.D. Emergency Response Team rushed to the spot and checked the residence as well as the area.

All the persons in the residence were safe, and there was nothing to indicate that the suspects had gained entry into the residence.  A check of the property located evidence supporting that a shot had been fired. No one was injured, and due to darkness, witnesses were only able to supply a very generic description of the males, who were described as young males, wearing dark clothing.

Surrey R.C.M.P.  are seeking the public’s assistance and asking anyone that may have witnessed the incident or observed the males fleeing from the area to call the Surrey R.C.M.P. at 604-599-0502 or call CrimeStoppers.
