Shots fired at Surrey residence; no injuries

RCMP Surrey Provincial Operations Support Unit (SPOSU) officers are investigating an overnight ‘shots fired’ incident that has resulted in property damage to a Surrey residence.

At about 2 a.m. on October 6, SPOSU officers responded to calls of possible shots fired at a residence located in the 10700-block of 141 Street. SPOSU officers confirmed that damage to the exterior of the residence had been caused by gunshots. Several people were inside the residence at the time and there were no injuries.

Officers remain on scene and will be examining the area for physical and digital evidence. At this early stage the motive for the shots fired remains under investigation and no links to extortions have been made, police said.
