Single vehicle collision in Richmond sends driver to hospital

2 p.m. UPDATE: Richmond RCMP is advising the public that Alderbridge Way from No. 3 Road to Minoru Boulevard has been re-opened to traffic.

 

RICHMOND RCMP are investigating a single vehicle collision in the 7800-block of Alderbridge Way.

On October 23, shortly after 7:30 a.m., police responded to a single vehicle collision in the 7800-block of Alderbridge Way. A light blue Honda Fit was travelling westbound on Alderbridge Way when it struck a light pole.

The driver was transported to a local area hospital and is in critical but stable condition.

Richmond RCMP Criminal Collision Investigation Team (CCIT) is currently on scene and has engaged the services of the Lower Mainland Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service (ICARS).

Alderbridge Way between No. 3 Road and Minoru Boulevard is currently closed with no timeline for re-opening. Richmond RCMP are asking the public to plan an alternate route.

This investigation remains active and ongoing.
