A 24-year-old male from Surrey broke into a North Vancouver apartment in the 100 block of West 2nd Street on Tuesday evening and proceeded to help himself to food and personal items of the owner, even wearing one of his T-shirts.
The alleged suspect gathered up other property into his backpack, but then decided to lie down on the couch and have a nap.
At about 10 p.m., the homeowner returned to find a stranger asleep on his couch and called police who arrested the man without incident for break and enter.
RCMP Cpl. Richard De Jong said: “He certainly was surprised to see the police!”
As they say, if you snooze, you lose!
