Some of of pure silver worth over $11 million (USD) stolen in Montreal found in B.C. and Toronto

THE Toronto Police said on Tuesday that a partial recovery of approximately $11 million (USD) worth of pure silver in bullion form that was stolen from a shipping container in Montreal, Quebec, in January 2020has been made in B.C., Toronto and Massachusetts, U.S.

Toronto Police are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying suspects involved in the theft.

The original silver bars had several distinctive stamped markings including a serial number and “Korea Zinc”. Investigators believe that some of the silver was smelted into ingots for a better chance of avoiding suspicion when selling.
