SPS arrests man wanted on over 30 charges by Calgary Police Service

SURREY Police Service (SPS) announced on Tuesday that it has located and arrested a man wanted on over 30 Criminal Code and other charges at the request of Calgary Police Service.

On October 29, Calgary Police Service contacted SPS requesting assistance with locating and arresting a man who was wanted and believed to be in the Surrey area. SPS’s Prolific Offenders Team led the local search and liaised with the Calgary Police Service, Alberta Provincial Crown, and the RCMP’s E Division Fugitive Return Program (FRP).

On December 11, the man was located in Burnaby by SPS officers, arrested, and remanded pending his return to Calgary by the Alberta Sheriffs Branch.

Tyler Joshua Evoy, 39, has been arrested on warrants related to numerous offences which include:

  • Multiple counts of criminal harassment
  • Multiple counts of distribution of an intimate image without consent
  • Multiple counts of failing to comply with a court order
