Stolen North Vancouver City Fire Department uniforms recovered

NORTH Vancouver RCMP responded on October 5 to a reported break-and-enter at a dry cleaner located in the 900-block of West 3rd Street in North Vancouver. Officers attended and reviewed CCTV footage from the business. Footage captured a man breaking in during the early morning hours of October 5 and stealing several North Vancouver City Fire Department (NVCFD) uniform, which were hanging from a rack. These uniforms included four shirts emblazoned with NVCFD crests and two pairs of black pants.

Police said at the time that they were concerned that an unauthorized individual could try to wear the uniform to commit further crimes by impersonating a fire fighter.

The RCMP said on Monday that the uniforms were turned in to a local fire hall on November 5.

“Although the uniforms have been recovered, our investigation is still very active and ongoing,” said Constable Mansoor Sahak, Media Relations Officer for North Vancouver RCMP.
