FORMER South Surrey-White Rock MP Gordon Hogg, who is also a former White Rock mayor and MLA, is expected to be declared Surrey First’s mayoral candidate on Wednesday.
He had confirmed to the VOICE back in April that he had been approached by Surrey First to run for mayor of Surrey.
Hogg didn’t return The VOICE’s phone calls on Tuesday morning, but Surrey First sent a press announcement in the afternoon that “media are invited to join Surrey First Councillor Linda Annis for a municipal election announcement.”
There were also rumours that Annis herself wanted to be mayor.
