Doug McCallum case: Surrey-ites laughing at their RCMP!

WHAT a bunch of jokers!
Yes, that’s how Surrey-ites are reacting to the way the RCMP went after Surrey Mayor Doug McCallum when he complained that a woman with the pro-RCMP group had run over his foot in the parking lot of a grocery store back on September 4.
The RCMP had seven members investigating the case, as was revealed in a Surrey court on Tuesday.
The highly respected defence lawyer Richard Peck described it as “a minor hit-and-run.” He asked Crown witness Sgt. Andre Johnny if this wasn’t “pretty extraordinary.”
How many of you have had seven Mounties investigate any of your minor or major complaints, guys?
Now we know why even gang members mock the RCMP!
And then Peck asked: “To this day you cannot say conclusively whether the foot was run over?” Poor Johnny could only offer: “No I cannot.”

(In the video, McCallum’s feet are concealed by a shrub.)

The Mounties even thought of having a surveillance team on McCallum.
Whoa! What about surveillance team on all those repeat offenders that have created havoc in the Lower Mainland?
Let’s wait and see what other great stuff about our Mounties will tumble out!
In the meantime, guys, if you have any complaint from now on, insist that there should be AT LEAST SEVEN MOUNTIES on that case!

IT was interesting to see a comment by Tony Masters on the CBC coverage of the trial by Jason Proctor regarding McCallum walking without a limp.

Masters said: “I worked at a car wash and it happened to me. Surprisingly it doesn’t hurt that much at first, more swelling later on though.”

Proctor wrote: “Peck pointed out that medical records showed a moderate swelling on the left foot which he claimed Johnstone ran over.

“Police records noted that McCallum didn’t appear to limp as he went about his business after the confrontation. But Johnny admitted that investigators didn’t follow up with a doctor to see what the impact of his purported injuries might be.”

Some diligence by Mounties, eh?!

On the other hand, the Mounties even thought of trying to “sneak away” McCallum’s cellphone.

Whoa, real sneaky – and desperate – guys who just wanted to ‘get their man’ just because he wanted to replace them with a municipal police service?
