THEY say the Mounties always get their man – but here was one who was proving to be rather elusive: a sweet, elderly Sikh gentleman who waited 20 minutes in a lineup at the Surrey Vaisakhi Parade’s RCMP photo booth for the “honour” of standing between two officers because “they do a lot to keep us safe,” CBC reported on Tuesday morning.
Volunteer Amandeep Takhar used his phone to take his photo, but the gentleman didn’t have an email or a phone number.
However, on Tuesday afternoon, Surrey RCMP tweeted: “Good news – the gentleman in this photo has been identified! He’ll be visiting our detachment soon to proudly receive a copy of his photo with our officers. Thanks to everyone for their assistance.”
