Surrey Police investigating assault with a weapon

SURREY RCMP are investigating a serious assault with a weapon near the intersection of 95A Avenue and 148th Street in Surrey.

On Wednesday at approximately 2 p.m., Surrey RCMP received a report that a traffic control flagger working in the area had been assaulted with a weapon by a male on a bicycle. The female victim was transported to an area hospital with unknown injuries. The male suspect fled on bicycle and police are actively looking for him.

Early reports describe the suspect as: a white male, heavy set, in his 30’s, with dark clothing and a baseball cap, and riding a red mountain bike.
