ON Saturday, March 16 at approximately 9:32 p.m., Surrey RCMP received a request for assistance from the Surrey Fire Department at the north parking lot of the Guildford Town Center where Spring Carnival 2024 was being held for a possible assault.

Members were on scene attempting to determine what had occurred when they observed a fight break out and quickly intervened. A female suspect was taken into police custody and a female victim was transported to an area hospital for medical treatment.

The matter is still under investigation and it is unknown if there is any prior relationship between the victim and the suspect, police said.
