Surrey road closures following pedestrian-involved collision

SURREY RCMP are advising the public of road closures following a serious collision involving a pedestrian on Fraser Highway.

On November 16 at approximately 8:15 a.m., Surrey RCMP responded to a report of a youth struck by a vehicle in the 19400-block of Fraser Highway. The pedestrian was transported to hospital with serious injuries.

The investigation is in the early stages and the Surrey RCMP Criminal Collision Investigation Team (CCIT) is working to determine all factors that lead to this collision. The driver remained on scene.

Fraser Highway eastbound is closed to traffic from 64 Avenue to 196 Street. The Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service (ICARS) has been called out and the closures will remain in effect for an undetermined amount of time while the scene is being processed.
