VOTING results for the Surrey South by-election will be available at the link below after 8 p.m. on Election Day, Saturday, September 10:
Elections BC says that preliminary results will be reported shortly after voting closes. Preliminary results will include all of the ballots cast in the by-election, including absentee and mail-in ballots.
Voting places will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Election Day. Eligible voters in Surrey South can find voting place information at the links below:
Voters are reminded to bring their Where to Vote card and acceptable ID with them when they go to vote. The list of acceptable ID is available at elections.bc.ca/ID.
Publishing new polls and election advertising is prohibited on Election Day, and no campaigning is permitted within 100 metres of a voting place. Allowable Election Day activities include distributing pamphlets, signs and posters (outside 100 metres from a voting place), as well as unpaid social media posts and posts with the sole purpose of encouraging voters to vote.
