Surrey’s 168 Street closed between 32 and 40 avenues after fatal collision

SURREY RCMP is advising the public that 168 Street is closed between 32 Avenue and 40 Avenue after a single vehicle was found in a ditch with a deceased person inside.

On December 15 at 1:12 p.m., Surrey RCMP responded to a report of a vehicle partially submerged in a ditch in the 3700-block of 168 Street. Police and Surrey Fire Service attended the scene and located the vehicle with a deceased driver inside.

The investigation is in the early stages and the cause of the collision has not yet been determined. Road closures on 168 Street in both directions between 32 Avenue and 40 Avenue will be in effect for an undetermined amount of time.
