A suspect has been arrested by Vancouver Police and charged with robbery for the alleged purse-snatching of a senior in South Vancouver on Tuesday.

VPD officers responded around 9 a.m. on Tuesday to reports that a man had tried to rob a 68-year-old woman of her purse near Fraser Street and East 45 Avenue.

A witness called 9-1-1 to report the robbery, allowing officers to locate and arrest the suspect.

Chris Fyfe, 51, has been charged with one count of robbery. He was released on bail by the courts.
