Suspect in Saskatchewan deadly stabbing incidents arrested

THE Saskatchewan RCMP has announced that the Myles Sanderson, a suspect in the deadly stabbing incidents in James Smith Cree Nation and Weldon, Saskatchewan, last Sunday, “was located and taken into police custody near Rosthern, SK at approximately 3:30 p.m. today.”

They added: “There is no longer a risk to public safety relating to this investigation.”

The RCMP said: “Myles Sanderson was involved in an active investigation relating to multiple homicides which occurred on September 4, 2022, at the James Smith Cree Nation and Weldon.

“The Saskatchewan RCMP would like to thank the public for their diligence in providing pertinent information about potential sightings of Myles Sanderson.

“The Saskatchewan RCMP will continue to provide more information as soon as it becomes available.”
