THIS year’s Team Izzat basketball tourney was a huge success with 19 teams comprising some 100 boys and girls participating.

There were 30 volunteers, including RCMP officers and a Delta Police officer, Constable Dave Aujla.

The organizer, Sgt. Jet Sunner, who is RCMP South Surrey District 5 Commander, thanked Delta’s Seaquam Secondary School for providing their facilities.

“The kids loved it and the atmosphere was amazing,” said Sunner.

There were four categories: Boys Division 1 (Grades 7-9); Boys Division 2 (Grades 10-12); Girls (Grades 7-10); and 3 point Shootout (18 and under) with a minimum of three and a maximum of five per team.
