ON August 9, the New Westminster Police Department learned of an overnight theft of audio equipment from a seniors’ care community. Staff at the facility, which is in the 900-block of Colborne Street, arrived to work to find one floor of the building ransacked and their electronic music equipment abandoned on the street outside.
CCTV footage shows two suspects struggling to push the equipment out the front doors of the building. Detectives are now asking the public to come forward if they recognize the suspects in the video.
The first suspect is described as male, approximately 30 years old, with brown shaved hair, a right forearm tattoo sleeve, wearing a blue shirt, grey shorts, brown sandals, and a red and black Toronto Raptors backpack.
The second suspect is described as a woman, approximately 30 years old, with black and white wedge style sneakers, shoulder length blonde hair, wearing a green Adidas ball cap, a grey patterned top and pleated mini skirt, black cross body purse, and glasses.

“These seniors use this equipment to make music together,” said Communications Officer Hailey Finnigan. “We’re thankful a lot of it was recovered, but to think it was targeted in the first place is a real low. If you know who these two people are, please call us.”
If you recognize either of the two suspects in the video police ask that you contact the New Westminster Police Department at 604-525-5411.
