WITNESSES told The VOICE that three people were transported to hospital after a truck crashed into Hair Dressing and Esthetics School in the market at Scott Road and 92 A on Monday at about 8:30 p.m.

A white SUV also suffered major damage as the apparently out-of-control truck reportedly struck it before smashing into the hair dressing school that fortunately was closed.

Witnesses pointed out that if the truck had crashed into the neighbouring Sonu Hair Cut and Beauty Parlor, there could have been fatalities.

Delta Police Sgt. Dave Black told The VOICE that it was very fortunate that nobody was walking in the area at the time the crash occurred. He said the three people taken to hospital sustained minor injuries. He said it was too early in the investigation to say what factors led to the crash.
