Trudeau condemns violence in South Asian communities

PRIME Minister Justin Trudeau on Tuesday in the House of Commons condemned unequivocally the violence that has been seen in South Asian communities across the country over the past few nights.

Trudeau stressed: “Let me be very, very clear: the individuals who are inciting violence and division and hatred in NO way represent either the Sikh community or the Hindu community in Canada.”

He added: “At the time of Diwali-Bandi Chhor Divas, we are seeing communities come together to celebrate their diversity and their strength. We will continue to stand for the unity of Canadians.”
