VANCOUVER Police have made an arrest in connection with a series of unprovoked assaults in Yaletown last Friday.
A 35-year-old suspect was arrested in the Downtown Eastside around 4:20 p.m. on Monday.
The suspect is currently in custody.
VPD officers responded just after 7:30 a.m. on Friday, October 10 to reports that a number of people had been stabbed along the seawall near David Lam Park, in Yaletown. Three stabbing victims were initially located and taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
On Sunday, VPD released images of a suspect and said that four additional assault victims had come forward, including another stabbing victim, a person who was physically assaulted, and two others who were not physically injured.
The victims were five men and two women, ranging in age from 23 to 59 years.
